Doctors and nurses of the National Hotline of the Ministry of Health and UNICEF “Together for Health” have been providing consultations on the vaccination of adults and children, as well as breastfeeding and nutrition of children under three years of age. The hotline has been operating since July 2022. During this time, 144 specialists have already provided evidence-based information on vaccinations for children and adults and on optimal nutrition for babies.

By calling the hotline, you can get advice on:

  • vaccinations for adults and children;
  • vaccinations according to the national vaccination schedule;
  • other vaccinations;
  • emergency vaccination (in case of injury and animal bites);
  • vaccination against COVID-19;
  • breastfeeding, in particular during the war;
  • water/liquid consumption by the child;
  • timely introduction of optimal complementary foods;
  • optimal feeding of infants and young children;
  • nutrition of pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.

More than 205,000 consultations have already been provided on vaccination of children and adults, and more than 11,000 on nutrition.

“The MOH-UNICEF hotline “Together for Health” was created in the midst of the war. It is no exaggeration to call it a line of life, because doctors and nurses have made and are making investments in life, especially in little lives, through their consultations, thus demonstrating the victory of life over death. This is very symbolic in the time we are going through,” Mariia Karchevych, Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine for Digital Development, congratulated the hotline operators. “I thank every healthcare worker who works on the line. This is a great support for parents, especially mothers! We thank the UN Children's Fund UNICEF for supporting this important and necessary project and for close cooperation with the Ministry of Health and deepening and expanding our joint activities!”
