Experts from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) analyzed Ukraine’s eHealth implementation case, and called it one of the best government innovations in the world.

This year, the SOE eZdorovya team submitted the Ukrainian healthcare transformation model – Private-Public Cooperation Model – to compete for the world's best innovation and practice in the public sector. The OECD Observatory of Public Sector Innovation (OPSI) team recognized the eHealth implementation in Ukraine, which is an integral part of the transformation process, as one of the most innovative cases in the world, and published it on the OPSI’s Innovations Platform.

The OPSI team consists of experts, who review all innovations submitted by government officials, civil society organizations, and companies, as long as the goals are to improve the work of governments and the lives of citizens, and the public sector cooperates with private partners, and then choose the best ones. The highly innovative cases are added to the platform to promote excellence and to help replicate innovation and inspire innovative thinking.

"OPSI recognized the SOE eZdorovya's approach to "Private-Public Cooperation" in implementing eHealth as one of the most promising in the world. This model envisages that the eHealth transformation in Ukraine is to be implemented in close cooperation among its key partners, including from the private sector. Why is this innovation recognized as one of the best? Public-private cooperation can transform the system into a horizontal plane, as well as create space for new innovations and competitive markets, and, most importantly, provide the highest quality services to people. I was very happy to hear the news, and I am very proud that the eZdorovya team was recognized as one of the most progressive and innovative teams at the global level," commented Denys Matsui, Director General of the SOE eZdorovya.
