Ukraine receives 20 ambulances from WHO and German government The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has received 20 ambulances from WHO to provide emergency medical care during the war. Designed as mobile intensive care units, these vehicles will be used to provide essential care to patients who require additional life-sustaining measures during transportation to and between hospitals.

Ukraine implements the international format for submission of a common technical document (eCTD) for registration of medicines The Ministry of Health is initiating another step in digitalization — the introduction of registration or re-registration of medicines in the eCTD format. The eCTD format is an international standard for submitting registration materials in electronic form, which promotes transparency and efficiency. The introduction of the eCTD format continues as part of the implementation of European legislation in Ukraine.

Resilient and sustainable health systems for the future” in Tallinn (Estonia), where a separate discussion panel was devoted to the functioning of the Ukrainian healthcare system.

Ministry of Health Proposes to Include Projects on Rehabilitation and Development of Blood Centers in NATO’s Multi-Year Program for Ukraine The delegation of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine paid its first official visit to NATO Headquarters and participated in a meeting of the Alliance as an invited partner. The parties discussed, among other things, the establishment of an emergency response system, the organization of supplies of critical medicines, medical equipment, blood products and consumables, etc.

In more than a year and a half of war in Ukraine, almost 850 medical facilities damaged by russia have been fully and partially restored Russians are attacking and bombing Ukrainian medical infrastructure, putting additional strain on the healthcare system. Nevertheless, Ukraine is continuing to restore medical facilities to ensure that the necessary medical care is available to every patient. In particular, over the 22 months of war, 847 medical facilities have been fully or partially restored in different oblasts of Ukraine.

Ukraine signs grant agreements with the Global Fund worth over USD 165 million These are three grant agreements under the program “Sustainable Response to HIV and TB Epidemics in War and Reconstruction of Ukraine” with the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria for 2024-2026. The amount of non-refundable funding under these agreements exceeds USD 165 million. They will come into force after 15 December following the results of the Global Fund Board meeting and subsequent signing.

The National Council on Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS has attracted about USD 1 billion in non-repayable financial assistance from the Global Fund The National Council on Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS summarized its work, where one of the key results was the assistance in attracting more than USD 1 billion in non-repayable financial assistance from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and allocating these funds to fight socially dangerous diseases in Ukraine. These and other data are reflected in a report based on the results of more than 60 meetings, prepared as part of the joint project of the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine “Strengthening the National Council on Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS in Ukraine”.

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs of Sweden signed a memorandum of cooperation During the official visit of the Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko to the Kingdom of Sweden, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden. Its main goal is to continue cooperation in the healthcare sector and create a framework for its strengthening. The parties are expected to work together to overcome the negative consequences in the healthcare sector and counter the challenges provoked by the full-scale war, and to promote Ukraine’s further integration into the European Union.
